D-Up, UFO Community

President Barack Obama,
who recently told Rutgers grads,
"It's not cool to not know what you're talking about."
"We are going to get disclosure this year," Steve Bassett recently told the British Express. "I am not sure who will win the election, but I think Obama will be the disclosure president.
"He will be looking at a Nobel Prize for making an announcement like that. I am 85 percent sure Obama will make the announcement before he leaves office and within days your Prime Minister David Cameron will follow."
Knowing President Obama will end what Bassett terms the "truth embargo" is a simple exercise in logical deduction, according to Bassett, who also stated, "ET is real, we have gone beyond that."
Similarly, self-described father of the disclosure movement Steven Greer announced that "the forces suppressing truth can no longer hold back the floodgates of disclosure." Greer is employing yet another crowdfunded film "that ends illegal UFO and Free Energy Technology secrecy once and for all."
The fact such ventures continue to draw financial support could reasonably be considered a worthwhile target of attention in itself. Those on the email list of Bassett's Paradigm Research Group (PRG) are aware he has been announcing the hour is upon us and making pleas for cash donations several times per month for years. His highly questionable - and expensive - Citizen Hearing on Disclosure rarely receives mention any longer and in spite of the grand proclamations included in its marketing campaign. Supporters were solicited to help fund aspects of the mock hearing ranging from video production and postage for getting those videos to elected officials to meetings to be conducted with said officials. Now, however, Bassett seems to be on a publicity campaign through Europe, circumstances of which we are assured forge a path to imminent disclosure from the highest levels of global government. The White House can no longer contain the secret, he informed Express
Recent PRG emails included urgent pleas for funding. One could empathize if donors become concerned about vague suggestions of achievements lacking specific details and failures to account for unfulfilled goals.
Greer marketing efforts, if nothing, are aggressive and bold. His assertion that his latest project will end secrecy once and for all comes on the heels of a crowdfunded film supporters hoped would do the same - but did not. And the same with his projects before that.
He does seem to be faring better than Bassett at the bank, or at least it would appear so if PRG emails are indications. In contrast, Greer reported substantial percentages of revenue from the then-nonprofit Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI), translating to hundreds of thousands of dollars, paid to the Greer-owned Crossing Point Inc. CSETI subsequently surrendered its tax-exempt nonprofit status and declared itself a for-profit corporation in 2013.
I seriously doubt the reality of an extraterrestrial presence. I am even more doubtful of official disclosure for reasons previously stated, which include detrimental implications to military and intelligence operations.
I could be wrong. One reasonable question would be whether disclosure activists could ever accept they might be wrong, and what it would take to have them consider the possibility. Also welcome would be some accountability for their chronic failure to achieve stated goals.

  1. The old adage "follow the money" seems a very simple and useful tool in studying the sociology of UFOs.

For some reason I'm on Greer's mailing list and am always being sent CE5 Protocol workshop events to hang out with him. These are serious money, with spaces limited, usually to the tune of several hundred dollars. No wonder his tax return was so insanely high last year.

Bassett, meanwhile, is swanning around Europe and claiming "job done" to anyone that will listen (now many!) Why exactly does he need anyone's money then? Surely, if Obama is the Disclosure President then his tenure as the Disclosure Lobbyist is all but done? Or am I not thinking outside the box? Let's hope he doesn't have another mid-life crisis once the Big D-day comes. He's going to have to find another hobby to fill the void. After all, by his own admission, he basically got into this racket as he was bored kicking rocks.

Claiming job done, by the way - albeit prematurely - is a pattern amongst Disclosure aficionados. Elizabeth Trutwin's latest channelings from Sanananda (also available personally by Paypal donation) also suggest Disclosure is now a done deal and we can all kick back and relax. Even less reason to donate to Bassett's Europe vacation then, hey?

To see some in this field dribbling with excitement at the prospect of this imminent Disclosure, whilst others who once campaigned openly, now nervously distancing themselves is all rather telling.

Again, just follow the money, and much will be revealed.

Newsflash: Obama isn't the Disclosure President, and neither is Hilary.

    1. Yeah, the alleged CE5 protocols are issues unto themselves. The next scheduled shindig includes, according to a Greer website, "How to make Contact with ET civilizations using the CE-5 protocols and how to really become an Ambassador to the Universe." Tuition will also entitle participants to such items as an update on world-wide disclosure, how to set up your own "Contact Team" to engage ET visitors, and "an in depth review of New Energy technologies, including free energy from the zero point field, anti-gravity and how the World can be transformed with these new sciences."

That six-night venture will set ya back over three grand ($3280) if you're a first-time attendee:

  2. Bassett and Greer - P.T. Barnum would have been made proud by their proving over and over the truth of his observation that there is a sucker born every minute.

  3. Even if disclosure happens, the people seeking it the most will not believe it. There will always be a conference or a workshop to learn about why disclosure is a false flag that is aimed at hiding the real truth.

    2. A fair point. Some disclosure notions are so bizarre, actual disclosure would disappoint. Disclosure advocates would cry "disinfo!"

  4. > One reasonable question would be whether disclosure activists could ever accept they might be wrong

    They will never admit defeat.

They are in the prefect pseudoscience posture: the form of their claim only allows for proof, not disproof.

    > and what it would take to have them consider the possibility

That is a good question to ask. If they cannot name the conditions or evidence that would disprove their theory, they are then admitting it is a pseudoscientific theory.

  5. I agree that Disclosure, by any government agency -- true, actual, in depth disclosure -- will never happen. For the reasons you state Jack. I do believe there is an ET presence, or at the very least, an "other" but the reality of their existence will never be fully and honestly disclosed by anyone. All we'll ever have will be the narratives of those who have experienced such things. I don't mean to denigrate those by saying "all" what I mean is, anecdotal evidence is not considered to be even evidence, let alone proof, by any infrastructure, including the government. I'll go so far as to say the government knows (factions of the government) damn well what's going on, as do many governments the world over. But nothing will be revealed. Nothing. Maybe some truths mixed in with tons of noise, distractions and disinformation, just for fun, but true, full disclosure? Nope. Not in my opinion.

  6. In Among the Truthers, Jonathan Kay examines a similar dynamic with 9/11 conspiracy theorists who monger cataclysmic scenarios of paranoia and fear while enjoying otherwise quiet, largely uneventful middle class lives. Someone needs to write a follow up to Festinger's classic: "When Prophecy *Never* Fails."

    2. Well, that was a not so clever attempt to smear those wanting the criminals responsible for the 9/11 attacks held accountable by associating them with the alien racket. Poorly played on your part. The funny thing is that intelligence agencies are all up in this alien nonsense as they are with 9/11. It was also the CIA who came up with the idea to brand people as "conspiracy theorists" who questioned the official story of the assassination of president Kennedy.

I had no intention of going so off topic but since that's exactly what you did (and your post was allowed to stand), it warranted a response. In his book, Kay attacked not only 9/11 researchers but ridiculed the families of those killed on that day. He is a hack and judging by his 'work', it would not surprise me if he is he another Mockingbird 'journalist'.

As for disclosure, there is nothing to disclose. While there is no evidence of aliens, there is plenty for UFOs and it's hardly hidden. Nobody needs government to confirm what so many, all over the world, have seen with their own eyes and captured on video (readily available on Youtube, including from NASA).

Aliens and UFOs are entirely different subjects. The true believers being manipulated by people like Greer are wanting disclosure on the former, which will never happen because aliens and alien abduction are not real - unlike the events of 9/11.

  8. The U.S air force studied the UFO phenomenon for two decades before they closed the Blue Book, that's a long time to study nothing. They closed the Book since the public had nothing to add to the scientific and technological study of the phenomenon.

The government will never disclose what they know, since the public has nothing to offer in return.

The air force continued a secret study of the phenomenon after Project Blue Book had been terminated.

[For a further discussion, particularly in the comment thread, of the liklihood and reasons why "disclosure" is not going to ever officially or formally happen via the US government.]

The consensus over there, including by me, is that disclosure will never happen, in a sense because it can't be, due to some what should be rather obvious national security issues related to human xenophobia, essentially.

  10. Hello Everyone,

I am new to this community, however- I have some knowledge probably relevant to what is being discussed. First off, I will only state what I know and not speculation and hear say. I can say with certainty that we are not the first sentient beings in this solar system. There were at least three other sets of beings before we ever created. The first and the oldest (about 1.5 billion years ago) was a planet located in the area we call the Asteroid belt. The inner asteroid belt use to be what astronomers today would call a super earth. The inhabitants of this world called it, "Adiru". These folks were human in appearance. They looked like northern Europeans. Incredibly advanced and evolved, they considered themselves shepherds of the solar system. They seeded Venus, and Mars and terra-formed Earth. They also helped manage and develop the solar system to be more hospitable to life. However for some reason that I do not know, they were engaged in a war with another race outside of the solar system. In the end, the planet Adiru was destroyed and its inhabitants scattered to the stars. As far as our government and extra terrestrials go, we were sold out to a couple of races of beings in return for technology and knowledge. This is why the government does not want the people to know-it would cause mass chaos and rioting. While in the military I saw and heard commentary that was quite disturbing to say the least. Oh, and by the way- be careful what you say or do on these sites. We are being monitored by some unsavory individuals. Later....
